The Gretsch Walnut snares add another sound and look to the Silver Series snare drum line. The deep chocolate color in the walnut shell wood grain is offset by dual natural maple inlays at the center of the drum. The inlays are created by using a precision cutting and lamination process to form a seamless bond and provide a customized appearance.

Sound
The walnut shell produces a snappy attack but with a punchy low end.
